Tofu Tacos with Mango Salsa

Servings 12 tacos



  • 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed for 10 minutes, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mexican oregano
  • Salt, a pinch
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil

Mango Salsa

  • 1 mango, cut into a small dice
  • 1/2 red onion, cut into a small dice
  • 1 or 2 jalapeƱos, cut into rounds or diced
  • Cilantro, a bunch, chopped
  • Fresh lime juice, to taste
  • Salt, a pinch


  • 12 corn tortillas
  • Avocado slices
  • Vegan sour cream or cashew cream



  1. To make the tofu, add the oil to bowl and add all of the seasonings. Toss to coat.

  2. Add the oil to a hot skillet. Add the tofu and coat with oil. Cook until the tofu is heated through and slightly crisp.


  1. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Season to taste.


  1. Heat the tortillas. Build your tacos with tofu and salsa. Top with sour cream and avocados. Enjoy!
