Easy Baked Marinated Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 standard block extra firm tofu, pressed for 10 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk together the marinade ingredients.

  3. Slice the tofu into thin (or thick) slices depending on how you like it. You could get anywhere from 8 to 16 slices.

  4. Dredge the tofu in the marinade and lay out on the baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes. Take out of the oven and use immediately or let the tofu sit on the baking sheet to cool. The tofu will firm up even more as it cools.

  6. Store and use as desired.
