There is a company out there called Vegan Cuts and they asked me if I would be interested in checking out their Snack Box to review. Of course, anything vegan and I am there. Well, not including mock meat but there is none of that here anyway.
This box is full of great snacks. Here is what I got:
Mediterranean Snacks Baked Lentil Chips
Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers
Runa Clean Energy
Surf Sweets Peach Rings
RawSnacks Cranberry Cashew Snack Bar
Yum Earth Naturals Sour Beans & Fruit Snacks
Rescue Chocolate Peanut Butter Pit Bull
Stash Premium Tea Spice Dragon Red Chai
Smooze Fruit Ice Coconut + Pineapple
I have seen the Baked Lentil Chips and the Surf Sweets before. My son is a big fan of Surf Sweets and we are all a fan of anything crunchy. The multi grain crackers were good.
You couldn’t pay me to drink an energy drink – even one with “natural” caffeine.
We liked the cranberry snack bar but I am loyal to my Greens+ bars but it is good to know this one is out there in case of a food emergency when on the road.
The Yum Earth Naturals are another kid favorite and perfect for this time of year when the entire world is asking what my son is going to be for Halloween. He is going as a skeleton because he has one inside of him already. (Thanks, Kim, for a great comeback!)
The Rescue Chocolate is perfectly amazing and is now on my new list of “Vegan Things I LOVE!”
We can always use more chai tea around here, especially caffeine free tea, since my son and husband drink tea every morning.
Finally, Smooze. I have never heard of this but it is really a cool little product. My son and I had fun eating it out of it’s little slurpy container. Fun!
Vegan Cuts is a great idea. You sign up for a monthly subscription and they deliver vegan goodies right to your house! Each month, 7 to 10 products, that are mostly gluten free are packed up and sent over. How else are we supposed to discover the newest vegan stuff out there?
And here is what it says on their website:
“Vegan Cuts is run by a vegan couple, John and Jill, who really want to see more people shopping with vegan ethics. A commitment to buying vegan food is a great start, but you can also make a positive difference by choosing vegan options when purchasing clothing, shoes, accessories, body care products and everyday household items. This is why Vegan Cuts features a range of vegan products and encourages members to shop vegan by promoting opportunities to save money while eschewing animal cruelty.”
A match made in heaven. Now, I am all about making everything myself and as I get better at cooking the more I am making. Case in point, almond milk. Ketchup is next up, by the way. But there are some things I just can’t make myself. Yet.
Like tea.
Like gummy candies.
Like chocolate.
So, this is a great way to find out who is doing what on the vegan scene and supporting them. I’m in! How about you?
This seems like a cool way to try new products – and might be good for people like me (the nearest Whole Foods/TJs is 5+ hours away)!
laura…that is so far! i would be getting deliveries daily if i were you!!
