Chef Chloe’s Vegan Goldfish Crackers

IMG_2515 We have perfected our own version of Chef Chloe’s Goldfish crackers. I roll out the dough while my son patiently uses the cookie cutter to cut out the goldfish and then places them onto the baking sheet. Fun for everyone in the kitchen and a healthy, homemade snack. Buy your own goldfish cookie cutter here.

makes 100+ goldfish crackers

1 cup flour (I have used all purpose, bread, and spelt and they all come out great!)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons sunflower oil
3 tablespoons cold water

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine flour, nutritional yeast, turmeric, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add oil and water and then mix until the dough just comes together.

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough as thin as you can get it. I like to cut it into four sections to make it easier. After cutting out as many goldfish as you can, re-roll the dough scraps and keep going until there is no more dough.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and lightly browned. Let cool and store at room temperature in a tightly sealed container or bag. Enjoy!
