This week at the CSA…
Vegetables
2 Delicata winter squash
2 lbs. potatoes
1 bunch leeks
1 bunch parsley
1 bunch Siberian kale
1 head of cauliflower
1 pumpkin
Fruit
Jona Gold and Empire apples
Seckle pears
I already made hash browns with half of the potatoes for dinner tonight (no picture, eaten too fast!) and I took the kale leaves off the center rib and froze them for my amazing green shake-y shake. Tomorrow, I am going to fire up the oven and cook all of the pumpkins and squashes I have and then figure out what to do with them.
I am definitely going to make my apple muffins again because they are that good and apple fritters for sure. Personally, I hate pears. Not sure what is going to happen to this bunch.
All of that sounds delicious! I really like pears inside spring rolls, maybe you can give them another shot?
