How to Freeze Mint (& Other Herbs)

Frozen Mint Leaves

I got mint in CSA Week #15 and I have come to realize that I can freeze pretty much any herb.

Separate the leaves from the stems and place on a baking sheet. Place flat in the freezer and when all of the leaves are frozen, place in a freezer baggie and store.

Easy! I did the same thing for the oregano from CSA Week #3. For the dill from CSA Week # 6, because it came in bunches, I just put each bunch into their own freezer bag. When I want to use it, I just take a few pieces out and chop. It defrosts immediately.

And I will be doing this for any other herbs that come my way.
